Talk the Talk

Margot Foster AM is a mediator, governance expert, former lawyer and former elite athlete.  She has combined all her skills and experiences in these various areas of endeavour to create and establish Talk the Talk Mediation and Talk the Talk Sport.

Margot’s unique background in law and in sport, as athlete and board member, means she has a finely honed understanding of the team dynamic and how it plays out with the ability to recognize and resolve potential conflict and disputes. Margot is a natural problem-solver and acts swiftly to seek solutions before conflicts become intractable. Showing leadership and commitment, she seeks to find solutions, where others may see only problems.

Margot’s warm and open nature means she is accessible, approachable, and able to make connections between parties under difficult circumstances. Her naturally analytical mind continuously seeks all perspectives in difficult situations. She is entirely committed to every task she takes on, and works tirelessly to ensure a satisfactory outcome in every instance.  Her broad experience in law, business and sport has given her both.great insight and many useful skills.

Margot’s years of experience on boards and committees, as both member and chairman, gives her the background to offer practical governance solutions to sports organisations in particular (though of course the principles apply more broadly) which will make those who fear the legal nature and the tricky or difficult concepts of “governance” understandable and easily able to be applied.  The outcome is  better functioning organization with happier office bearers and directors who know exactly what to expect and what is expected of them and those around the table.
